Purpose

Mission

The Mexico–Canada Trade Mission 2026 is an official initiative of the Government of Mexico designed to position Mexican companies in the Canadian market as top-tier strategic partners, leveraging the framework of the USMCA and the Mexico–Canada Economic Cooperation Plan 2026–2030.

The mission aims to generate concrete commercial agreements, technological partnerships, and investment opportunities across 10 high-potential sectors in which Mexico holds internationally recognized competitive advantages.

To be considered for the mission, large companies, business associations, and chambers of commerce must demonstrate that they:

  • Operate in one of the mission’s eligible sectors.
  • Can contribute to cooperation, knowledge exchange, or economic development.
  • Have the capacity to provide measurable value to the mission through experience, resources, or collaboration opportunities.
  • Be legally established in Mexico or hold registration allowing formal operation in the country, and comply with all relevant tax and regulatory obligations.
  • Operate in one of the mission’s eligible sectors.
  • Be prepared to establish commercial relationships with Canadian companies:
    1. Have a product or service already commercialized.
    2. Identify Canada as part of their international business strategy.
    3. Have conducted research on the target market and its opportunities.
  • Pre-scheduled B2B meetings with qualified and verified Canadian counterparts.
  • Access to sector-specific exploratory missions and visits to key facilities.
  • Visibility among Canadian venture capital funds and institutional investors.
  • Exclusive directory of Canadian contacts generated during the mission.
